Beckhoff Servo Drives
AX5000 single channel servo drives offer optimum functionality, flexibility and cost effectiveness. Components necessary for operation such as power supply unit, EMC filter and DC coupling capacitors are integrated. Having a stepped structure, the control loop supports fast and highly dynamic positioning tasks. As a high-performance system communication, EtherCAT provides the ideal interface with PC-based control technology.
AX5000 drivers are available in different current densities from 1.5 A to 170 A.
The AX-Bridge quick connect system allows simple and quick connection of several AX5000 devices to create a multi-axis system. Plug-in supply and connection modules connect the power supply, DC link and 24 V DC control voltage. Different types and sizes of motors such as synchronous, linear, torque, asynchronous and voice coil motors can be connected to the AX5000 without additional precautions. Multiple feedback interface supports all common standards. The sensorless operating model of synchronous and asynchronous motors can also be parameterized.
The optional AX58xx provides typical drive integrated safety functions and fulfillment of the requirements of EN ISO 13849-1:2015 (Cat. 4, PL e), EN 61508:2010 (SIL 3) and EN 62061:2005 + A1: 2013/A2:2015 (SIL CL3).
The AX5000 was developed specifically for EtherCAT because the benefits of EtherCAT are best exploited in drive technology. This particularly includes short cycle time and concurrency, even in networks with many devices.
TwinCAT 3 Drive Manager 2 serves as commissioning tool. Commissioning of the axis is simple and intuitive thanks to the structured design and wide range of functions.
